Ruinas del Fondatore Wine

The last Vermentino born in the Depperu house, but as often happens, the last will be the first, and in fact, the founder of the company, Paolo Depperu, not satisfied with the already excellent quality of the classic Ruinas, wanted a wine still more important, with even more intense flavors and structure, and this is how he was born in 2018, a wine with an intense, almost golden color, endowed with a remarkable aromatic complexity and a velvety and enveloping taste.

Several factors contribute to obtaining a wine with the aforementioned characteristics: first of all, the age of the plants which for this wine are over 40 years old, a very low production of grapes per hectare which is around 35-40 qli, together with a meticulousness of the grapes and a prolonged period of maceration on the skins.

It is a versatile wine, which is suitable to accompany both great seafood cuisine, white meats and semi-mature and mature cheeses. Its particularity also makes it perfect as a meditation wine.
